When to Seek Cancer Treatment?

By Alanne | Cancer , Health

Stomach melanoma is associated with many indicators. Unfortunately, some of these symptoms don’t effectively aware sufferers, who often pass them off as moving difficulties and minimal wellness issues. This makes melanoma very difficult to identify. Some of the common stomach melanoma indicators include:

  • Symptoms of heartburn
    • Stomach pain or pain
    • Stomach ache
    • Nausea or throwing up
    • Vomiting
    • Hunger reduction
    • Heartburn

These symptoms are connected to several other illnesses, some of which are not as serious as melanoma. Sometimes, the symptoms are also very light and can even vanish for a while. Thus, it is clear and understandable why some people don’t succeed to seek healthcare care and only find out about their sickness when the melanoma has already developed.

However, if a person overlooks these beginning symptoms, they are usually followed by more serious ones, such as:

  • Weakling chairs
    • Unexpected weight-loss
    • Exhaustion
    • Average to serious stomach pain

If the beginning symptoms are recognized, however, they can be handled, and melanoma professionals can help the affected person deal with these more serious symptoms. In many cases where the melanoma is clinically diagnosed beginning, the pain can be reduced. However, if a individual only looks for healthcare care when the symptoms are already serious, he may have to suffer a lot of these more serious symptoms, resulting in a lot of pain. This will lower the quality of the individual’s life and may provide him incapable to do even simple everyday living.

If you go to a melanoma professional stressing of symptoms that suggest stomach melanoma, your doctor will examine you first for gas. A gastroenterologist may be introduced in to examine your case. Cancer is usually prevented as a analysis until other possible issues have been decided out or until actual proof of the melanoma can be found in assessments. These assessments will consist of blood examining and other lab assessments including:

  • Physical examination, to examine for inflammation, liquid, or other irregularities in your abdomen
    • Endoscopy, to examine the wind pipe and stomach with the use of a slim, illuminated pipe
    • Biopsy, in which some tissue is eliminated from the stomach to examine if melanoma tissues are present

Be prepared to respond to concerns regarding your personal wellness record. And since melanoma is sometimes associated by genetics, you will also be requested about your family’s wellness record.

As a individual, you will also be given a chance to ask your own concerns, especially with regards to the assessments you will be put under.

If stomach melanoma is clinically diagnosed, the next step is to figure out the stage at which the melanoma is. This is necessary in identifying the best course of action for you. In stomach melanoma, the process of setting up will figure out how greatly the growth has penetrated the stomach wall, whether the growth has penetrated the tissues close by, and whether the melanoma has distribute from the stomach to other parts of the body. Then your melanoma professional will talk about the possible treatments with you for your restoration and symptoms management.

Stomach Cancer Signs

By Alanne | Cancer , Health

Stomach Cancer Signs: Abdomen or stomach melanoma begins when cancer tissues form in the coating of the stomach. According to records, stomach melanoma situations in the United States are consistently declining; however, situations in Parts of Asia are rapidly increasing. This may be linked to competition – certain competitions are more vulnerable to certain kinds of malignancies – or to lifestyle styles.

The stomach increases when eating; thus it can also house growing cancers without being observed. Furthermore, signs of stomach melanoma are unexplained and very similar to other conditions. Weakling chairs, for example, is common to many kinds of malignancies and other illnesses. Blood vessels in chairs are not always noticeable and may also occur recurrently but not always. This is why some individuals think that having bloody chairs once does not represent any health issues. However, not being able to see the blood does not mean it is no more there. Exams like Waste Occult Blood vessels Test are performed to recognize the existence of blood in the chairs.

Other signs of stomach melanoma include stomach pain. Regular and serious stomach discomfort can already be a sign of advanced melanoma. Other recognizable signs of stomach melanoma are stomach ache and flow back.

Vomiting and nausea or vomiting is also unexplained symptoms of stomach melanoma. Continuous throwing up can damage the wind pipe and can also lead to infrequent metabolic rate. Dysphagia or difficult taking also happens once the wind pipe is broken. The wind pipe is a pipe linked with the stomach and one of the first parts of the body to be contaminated once the melanoma propagates outside the stomach.

Loss of hunger for two days is still regarded normal or simply a sign of non-fatal attacks such as high temperature. However, if the condition continues more time, then it can already be a indication of more serious illnesses such as stomach melanoma. Losing about 5% of your weight in less than six months without any aim of diets can also be regarded serious. This may be due to infrequent bm and increased hunger reduction due to stomach melanoma. Irregular bm may be recognized by bowel problems and diarrhea or alternation of both. Continuous belching also represents changes in the ingestion.

Heartburn and exhaustion can be natural. However, suffering from these two even without interesting in intense activities is already a red banner. Symptoms of heartburn can be due to the infrequent metabolic rate and blocking of chemicals in the lower wind pipe. Extended exhaustion, on the other hand, can be a complication of anemia. Those who stomach melanoma experience anemia due to lack of blood through throwing up or through chairs. There are also some situations of blood clots within the respiratory system and the feet. These cause inflammation of the feet and constant shortness of breath associated with chest area discomfort. Blood vessels clots usually happen after lose blood anemia or excessive blood reduction. Inner blood reduction, especially in areas apart from the intestinal system, is already an indicator of critical stomach melanoma.

If you have any of these signs, it is best to seek therapy. Though these signs are unexplained, immediate analysis and treatment are necessary to prevent further problems of the illness.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse: What’s With All the Heavy Lifting?

By Alanne | Health

If you have been diagnosed with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and you lead an active lifestyle or have a physically-demanding job, chances are good that your lifestyle and/or your job may have contributed to your condition.

Pelvic organ prolapse describes the condition in which one or more of your pelvic organs sags downward, or “falls” out of place. Pelvic organs that can prolapse include the bladder, small intestine, large intestine, or uterus. How many women have POP? Between 43% and 76% of women have POP, but don’t experience any symptoms. Less than 10% of women with POP notice symptoms, such as feeling pressure on the vaginal wall, feeling as if one is sitting on a ball, seeing a bulge falling out of the vagina, urinary incontinence, difficulty urinating, being constipated, low back pain, or feeling pain during sex.

POP and Heavy Lifting
While there are many risk factors for POP, a surprising number of those risk factors are associated with heavy lifting of one sort or another. Pregnancy and childbirth (either vaginal or Cesarean) top the list of factors. If you think about it, pregnancy is one of the most vigorous kinds of heavy lifting a woman can do. Plus, this form of heavy lifting is long-term–about nine continuous months!

Another kind of heavy lifting that can contribute to POP is work-related. If your job requires you to lift, move, or otherwise handle heavy objects on a regular basis, your work may be a big contributing factor to POP. All of this lifting puts pressure and strain on the pelvic organs and their supporting tendons, ligaments, and muscles. When the strain becomes too much, one or more pelvic organs will literally slip out of place, causing the symptoms described above.

Constipation causes straining similar to that of frequently lifting heavy objects. If you suffer from chronic constipation, then you are putting pressure on your pelvic organs several times per day. That’s a lot of heavy lifting for your pelvic organ support system.

Finally, your weight is a consideration. When it comes to your pelvic floor muscles, every pound of weight you carry about your pelvic region exerts a strong downward push. That means your pelvic floor support system has to do “heavy lifting” whenever you are sitting or standing. This is doubly true if you have an active or athletic lifestyle. Bouncing around in an aerobics class adds heavy impact into the equation, more than doubling the strain on your pelvic floor.

Lifestyle Changes to Reduce the Risk of POP
If you are at risk for POP because of any of the reasons listed above, it’s not too late to make some lifestyle changes. Simple changes that will help can include:

  • lose weight
  • change jobs to avoid lifting heavy objects
  • increase fiber intake to reduce constipation
  • switch from high-impact exercise to low-impact exercise (such as swimming or walking)
  • start doing pelvic floor exercises (like Kegels), especially if you have had children
  • consider using a pessary to temporarily increase support for your pelvic organs

These are all simple conservative measures that can prevent further sagging of your pelvic organs, and can often relieve symptoms of POP. These measures have almost no side effects, and studies have shown them to be quite effective. POP doesn’t have to consign you to being an armchair athlete. Instead, try these conservative approaches and see just how active you can be. You will be surprised!

Lung Cancer Bottom Line – The Fact Of Making A Comeback

By Alanne | Health

It is a universal fact that lung cancer is a deadly and prevalent type of cancer worldwide. This has struck a lot of people, from patients, to relatives of patients even to mere acquaintances and friends. I’m sure you are one of them, eager to find out its causes, treatments, outcomes, and other things related to it.

A lot of factors are believed to have contributed to the formation of theories regarding lung carcinoma. The leading factor that mainly causes this type of cancer is the exposure to particular carcinogenic or what is known as cancer causing agents such as asbestos, smoking, inhalation of environmental tobacco smoke and the like.

But, what is the confusing secret of lung cancer? It’s this…

A person I know once had a tough time fighting against lung cancer. Luckily he was able to survive it all and is still living up to now. If he had been victorious against lung cancer, I bet anyone else could!

Lung cancer is a type of cancer that is really difficult to detect. It is often discovered later and is not that specific whether the symptoms are referred to as cancer or not. Symptoms such as hemoptysis or the coughing up of blood, unrelenting cough and a spot detected on an X-ray film does not prove early detection of lung cancer until it further develops and becomes even worse.

I guess you are now eager enough to know the secret that is yet to be revealed about lung cancer. It’s just right here.

Besides the causes of lung cancer, how it is treated and the outcome of each treatment is also a mystery, for what underlying cause?

Speaking of cancer treatments, a lot of ways are known to treat it but not 100% sure of curing it. Chemotherapy is one, it uses chemical substances which are cytotoxic or cell killing in nature that are mixed to the IV fluids of patients. Next would be radiotherapy and brachytherapy which uses radiation as a means of damaging the cancer cell’s DNA. Last but not the least is palliative surgery wherein the body part that is infected with cancerous cells are removed to alleviate the suffering of patients. As for the latest cancer cure on cancer, scientists are still working on it.

But what if some chemical exposure triggered lung cancer to occur? Shouldn’t the company involved shoulder the costs of treatment for the victim?

The number of people getting exposed to asbestos is apparently increasing at a constant rate. Later on the long time secret of asbestos using industries will be revealed. Many of their workers will surely seek help on mesothelioma litigations, asbestos settlements and asbestosis compensation and claims.

Thus, companies must ensure that their workplace is safe and healthy for their employees. And that once one of their employees gets sick because of some incident or chemical overexposure, they should make it to a point that the employee gets fairly compensated so that it won’t go into further legal matters.

Mesothelioma litigations have been kept discreet by most asbestos using industries for several years now and it has put a lot of individual and family lives at stake. However by means of online mesothelioma settlements, help is just within your reach whenever and wherever you are.

How to Do a Kegel: Different Positions Can Improve Your Performance

By Alanne | Exercise , Health

How to do a Kegel for Newbies
There are tons of articles out there that talk about how you can do Kegels while waiting in line at the grocery store, while driving car, or while sitting at your office desk. Yup, even we have been guilty of writing those types of articles. We talk about doing Kegels in these various places because we want to emphasize the fact that adding Kegels and other exercises for your pelvic floor muscles does NOT have to be difficult, complicated, or impossible. We try to emphasize that Kegels can be done whenever you have a spare minute or two, with the goal of encouraging more women to do Kegels for their pelvic health.

But here’s the thing … for the woman who has never done Kegels or the woman who is not doing a Kegel correctly, trying to do these exercises while sitting in a car or standing in the grocery line is going to be next to impossible. For these women, it is best to start doing Kegels from positions of less resistance, such as lying down or lying on her side. If you think about it, doing Kegels in these positions make sense. After all, in both sitting and standing positions gravity exerts a strong downward pull on everything, including the pelvic floor muscles. Since the goal of Kegels is to pull the pelvic floor muscles upward and inward, any woman in a sitting or standing position has to work against the force of gravity … which is no small force! If a woman has never done Kegels or has difficulty doing Kegels, fighting gravity while doing these exercises just doesn’t make sense!

Best Positions for Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises
Now that we’ve established that doing pelvic floor muscle exercises, such as Kegels, while sitting or standing is not ideal for beginners or women struggling with these exercises, let’s talk about strong positions for these women. The best positions for these women to start practicing Kegels are supine and side-lying. In regular human words, supine and side-lying mean this:

  • Supine: This just means that you lie on your back with your legs stretched out in a relaxed position (you can do this on your bed or on the floor, whichever is most comfortable for you)
  • Side-Lying: As the name implies, you lie on your side with your legs bent at a relaxed and comfortable angle (again, on the bed or floor)

With either of these positions, feel free to use a pillow to support your neck if necessary (our goal is your pelvic health, not to give you a pain in the neck!). The side-lying position offers the least resistance, but can also be a bit awkward for some women. Try both positions and see which one seems more comfortable for you. In fact, you might try both positions and try to do a Kegel contraction in both. Also remember that if you want to troubleshoot your Kegels, you’ll need to be able to place one hand between your legs.

We suggest that you try doing Kegels in the supine position first. If you continue to have trouble doing a correct Kegel, then move to the side-lying position and try the contractions again there. If you are new to doing Kegels or are not sure you are doing them correctly, please check this post to test yourself. If you continue having trouble doing a correct Kegel contraction in either the supine or side-lying positions, then seek the help of a specialist in women’s pelvic health.

Diet Modification for Women’s Urinary Incontinence

By Alanne | Common diseases , Health

Women with urinary incontinence know all about the discomfort of urinary leakage, frequency, and urge–but a lot of these same women also know the discomfort of constipation symptoms. Constipation symptoms such as straining, needing to push on the abdomen, or waiting an unusually long time on the toilet are all bad news for women with urinary incontinence. All these symptoms of constipation put a lot of pressure on the pelvic organs and muscles, which can worsen symptoms of urinary incontinence. If you have any of these constipation symptoms, then read on. We have solutions to help you avoid this problem, which may in turn relieve some of your urinary incontinence symptoms.

What is Constipation?
Before we can talk about how to avoid constipation, we first have to define constipation. Put simply, constipation includes difficulty having a bowel movement, or long periods of delay between bowel movements. What is considered a “normal” frequency for bowel movements varies from person to person, depending on age, lifestyle, and diet. Most medical experts consider bowel movements ranging from three per day to three per week as “normal.” Fewer bowel movements may constitute chronic constipation.

For women with urinary incontinence, the frequency of bowel movements is definitely important. In addition, what may be even more important is to avoid straining when having a bowel movement. Straining or pushing are symptoms of constipation, and both can further weaken pelvic muscles that are already stretched or damaged. Straining and pushing can also push pelvic organs that have “fallen” out of place further from their correct anatomical position. All of these may result in or worsen symptoms of women’s urinary incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse.

How to Avoid Constipation
If you have symptoms of constipation, we have several solutions that can relieve these symptoms. These are simple lifestyle changes that you can easily integrate into your daily schedule, no matter how busy you may be.

  • Fiber: Eat plenty of fruits or veggies. If you are not a fan of these, add a fiber supplement (gradually) to your daily regimen.
  • Exercise: Moving your body will help your digestive system, since your food has to pass through about 20 feet of intestine.
  • Hydrate: Water is essential to keeping your stools soft enough to pass easily. To figure out the right amount of water to drink.
  • Medication: Check with your doctor whether any medications you take might be causing constipation (since many drugs can cause symptoms of constipation)
  • Go with the Urge: Many women are “too busy” to go to the bathroom for a bowel movement when they feel the urge. This can cause your digestive system to shut down, leading to constipation. Avoid this by going to the bathroom immediately when you feel the urge for a bowel movement.

Mix Your Own Fiber Supplement
One of the recommendations we make to patients in our practice for maintaining bowel regularity is this homemade recipe for a fiber supplement. Combine the following ingredients and drink the resulting mixture immediately:

  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup freshly ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera juice

Pretty simple, right? Making any of the above listed lifestyle changes to help you avoid constipation symptoms is important to relieving women’s urinary incontinence. Because these lifestyle changes are so easy, they make a good trade-off if they help you stay “high and dry”!

An Informative Guide About Lung Cancer

By Alanne | Cancer , Health

During the early 20th century, lung cancer caused by smoking was rare. At this time 87% of lung cancers are often the sequels of passive exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke or smoking tobacco. This evidently indicates the relationship between cigarette smoking and also cancer of the lung, which unfortunately results in the worsening of one’s health.

The belief that cancer of the lung is not going to come about if you start smoking low tar tobacco isn’t really true. Hookah smoking is really as unsafe as smoking cigarettes although it is actually advertised less hazardous compared to cigarettes.

Reports say that a nonsmoker who resides with a cigarette smoker is commonly at 30% greater risk of obtaining lung cancer than the smoker husband or wife. There’s a higher incidence of lung cancer among employees who are subjected to cigarettes smoke at work. Have you ever seen a smoking shelter? Producers have enjoyed increased business ever since the smoking ban.

Several studies have been made on smoking and lung cancer and have concluded that smoking not only leads to lung cancer, but includes the chance of onset of cancers of the pancreas, kidney, bladder, esophagus, oral cavity, pharynx and also larynx. Studies have also determined a solid relationship between cigarette smoking and cancer of the cervix.

As there is a great relationship between smoking and lung cancer, there is certainly great possibility of acquiring some other smoking-associated cancers. The kind of cancers and lung cancer cases is dependent primarily to the lifetime direct exposure to cigarette smoke, number of years a person has smoked, and at which age an individual began using cigarettes.

It’s necessary to learn how smoking causes lung cancer. A tube-like structure, known as the bronchi, joins the nose to the lung area. It’s covered with a layer of cells. Such hair-like cilia cleanse the lung by means of sending the untoward elements pushing out of the lungs through bronchi. The cleansing mechanisms effectiveness gets affected caused by smoking with disappearance of cilia. Therefore, the carcinogenic particles build up and absorb in the bronchial lining, which might get transformed into the blood system. The cancer causing substances that are contained in the cigarette smoke can transform the nature of the cells slowly and progressively till cancer builds up.

The good thing is that giving up smoking reduces the smoker’s chance of getting lung and various types of cancer. The damaged lung tissue gradually rejuvenates back to normal with stopping smoking. Cigarette smokers that stop smoking significantly reduce his or her lung cancer risk by one-third of what it would have been if continuing an extended smoking habit.

After giving up smoking, the danger for lung cancer is actually lessened quickly as well as gradually declines each and every year. In addition to this, the risk of acquiring chronic illnesses of smoking is also decreased significantly. Of note, ladies who give up smoking during their first trimester of being pregnant experience no undesirable pregnancy effects such as stillbirth or low birth body weight. Increased smoking results in lung cancer and the other way round, thus, directly proportional is cigarette smoking and lung cancer.

A Detailed Look At Methods Used To Treat Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

By Alanne | Cancer , Health

There are different forms of treatment that can be used to address non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). These include various types of surgery as well as radiation therapy and chemotherapy. In some cases, only surgery is used. Other times, all three measures might be needed. The decision depends on the type of lung cancer affecting the patient, where it is located, and how far along it has progressed. Also important is whether the patient’s health is strong enough to endure certain treatments.

In this article, we’ll present the three main forms of treatment, and explain when each is used. The following will clarify how doctors make their decisions regarding how to treat NSCLC in its various stages.

Read more: An Informative Guide About Lung Cancer

Surgical Removal Of The Tumor

This is the method of treatment doctors prefer to use. The problem is, surgery is only effective as a cure if the cancer cells have not left the lungs. Once the tumor has metastasized to other areas, surgery is no longer a curative option.

As a rule, NSCLC can be addressed surgically if it is in stage 1 or 2. Surgery may occasionally be used if the disease has progressed to stage 3A, but this depends largely on its location. Since most cases of lung cancer are caught during the disease’s later stages, less than 40 percent of diagnosed cases can be treated surgically.

There are three main types of surgery for NSCLC. A wedge resection can be done if the tumor is diagnosed early, and is still small and localized. During this procedure, the segment of lung tissue that contains the tumor is removed.

If the tumor occupies a larger portion of tissue, an entire lobe might be removed. This is called a lobectomy.

Sometimes, the tumor spreads throughout one of the patient’s lungs. When this is the case, a pneumonectomy – an operation during which the entire lung is removed – can be performed. Because of the invasive nature of this procedure and the subsequent loss of one lung, the patient must be in good health and have good lung function.

Killing Cancer Cells With Radiation

Radiation therapy is often given with surgery and chemotherapy. It may also be used only with chemotherapy if the patient declines to undergo surgery. During treatment, high-energy radiation is directed to specific sites that contain tumors. The energy kills cancer cells, prevents them from splitting, and reduces the size of the tumors. The downside is that treatment can also kill healthy cells, producing one or more side effects, including hair loss, fatigue, and shortness of breath.

Radiation therapy can be delivered from outside the body by positioning a special machine next to the patient, and pointing high-dosage radiation at the disease. Therapy can also be delivered internally through a process called brachytherapy.

(full image source)

Chemotherapy For Systemic Treatment

Chemotherapy is usually given to those suffering from small-cell lung cancer since the disease spreads quickly. It is often given for NSCLC, but is less effective. The chemicals have a similar effect to radiation therapy: they kill diseased cells and prevent them from splitting. Chemotherapy also poses the same drawback: healthy cells are affected along with cancer cells (though more slowly). This causes nausea, vomiting, hair loss, and fatigue. The drugs also make the patient more susceptible to infections.

While both radiotherapy and surgery are used to target localized tumors, chemotherapy is usually given as a systemic treatment. It is most effective in targeting diseased cells after a tumor has metastasized. That said, the chemicals may be used to kill residual cancer cells in a specific area following surgery.

It’s worth underscoring that chemotherapy is rarely given as a treatment to cure non-small cell lung cancer. Instead, it is typically used to reduce symptoms and extend the life of the patient.

Diagnosing NSCLC as early as possible increases the likelihood that the disease can be resolved with surgery alone. Once lung cancer spreads beyond the lymph nodes, other measures become necessary.

6 Myths and facts about the causes of acne

By Alanne | Beauty body , Common diseases , Health , Other

Many people worldwide suffer with the acne. Various research studies are currently being carried out to find out the exact cause of the acne. During to the lamentable knowledge about the causes of the acne many myths have been spread worldwide. So, this article will be clearly focusing on the myths about the causes of acne.  I would try to make the facts and misunderstandings about the acne clear in this article.
Myth no. 1. Acne is only observed in teens.

Fact:  Acne is observed in young as well as people of any age group. Yes, the occurrence of acne is observed more in teens, but it doesn’t mean that people from all other age group are resistant from the Acne.

Myth no. 2. Specific foods cause acne.

Fact: Acne is not caused by any specific foods. It is not caused by any particular thing. Acne is the resultant of the combination of the abnormal health condition. Many people think that eating non-vegetarian diet, chocolates, milk and other dietary products, potato chips, fish, and sweets cause acne, but this is absolutely false because no studies have proved it scientifically.

Myth no. 3. Use of makeup causes acne.

Fact: Acne is not caused by the makeup because if this would have been the case none of the actors would have looked so beautiful on the screen. This is most prevalent myth about causes of acne. The fact is doing excessive makeup and that to by using lower quality of makeup ingredients results in the occurrence of the acne.

Myth no. 4. Sunbath cures acne.

Fact: One of the most dangerous myths about acne that may damage your skin more. You need to understand that no sun rays are going to give you relief from the acne. Taking the morning sunrays can be affective in the acne treatment up to some extent. But, roaming in afternoon in the sun would certainly damage your skin more and would increase the chances of skin cancer.

Myth no. 5. Too much sex causes acne.

Fact: One more useless myth. Sex reduces the amount of the heat in the body, then how can it cause Acne. Remember that sex can be in fact useful in the acne treatment as it will help to promote the hormone production and maintain the hormones levels in the body at normal level. Generally it has been noted that insufficient sex can lead to hormonal imbalance and causes acne. But, none of the scientific studies have proved that either more sex or less sex leads to acne.

Myth no. 6.  Acne is caused by poor hygiene.

Fact: The combination of the dead cells and oil leads to the occurrence of the acne. Only poor hygiene cannot cause the acne. This is one of the most common myths prevalent among the acne causes. But, this doesn’t mean that you should not pay attention towards hygiene because many other diseases are caused due to the poor hygiene.

These are the myths and facts about the causes of the Acne. So, just stay away from the myths and focus on the facts if you are facing the problem of acne.

Common causes of diarrhea should know

By Alanne | Health , Other

Diarrhea is the most commonly observed stomach disorders. The people with the weak digestive system are found to be more prone to diarrhea. Many people suffer with the diarrhea twice or thrice in a year. Loose and watery stool is what diarrhea is characterized by. A person suffering with diarrhea passes stool more than 3 times in a day.

There are 2 types of diarrhea, acute and prolonged. The acute diarrhea stays for about 1 to 2 days and prolonged diarrhea stays for about 4 days. The prolonged diarrhea is serious problem and cause dehydration so, please consult the doctor immediately if you are suffering with diarrhea for more than 4 days.

Most common causes of diarrhea are:

• Viral infections: Viral infections can result into prolonged diarrhea if you don’t cure it at preliminary stage. The viruses like cytomegalovirus, viral hepatitis, herpes simplex virus, Norwalk virus, rotavirus, and adenovirus cause diarrhea.

• Bacterial infections: Bacterial infections are the most common cause of diarrhea. Campylobacter, Salmonella, Shigella, and Escherichia coli (E. coli) are the bacteria that enter the human body and disturb the normal digestion process, which results in the frequent watery stools.  In serious causes stool may contain the stool may contain mucus, pus, or blood so please consult the doctor immediately in such case.

• Side effect of medicines: Diarrhea is sometimes caused as the side effect of medicines. Antacids containing magnesium, blood pressure medications, antibiotics, and cancer drugs are the medicines that causes diarrhea.

• Food intolerance: The human body reacts to every food item entering the body in a different, some foods it is able to tolerate and to some it is not able to tolerate.  In cases of food intolerance, the human body throws out of the intolerable food items. Food components such as artificial sweeteners and lactose are the food items that body finds difficult to digest and thus throw them out, which results in diarrhea.

• Intestine diseases: Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are the disease that disturbs the working of the digestive system and result in the diarrhea.

• Hyperthyroidism and Diabetes: These two health complications are being closely linked to the occurrence of the diarrhea. The person suffering with thediabetes or hyperthyroidism faces the problem of diarrhea more often than the normal person.

• Parasites infections:  The acute diarrhea is noted to be caused by the parasites. Cryptosporidium, Entamoeba histolytica, and  Giardia lamblia are the parasites that cause diarrhea. Parasites enter the human body through the modes of water or food and then multiply in the human body that disturbs the digestive system, which causes diarrhea.

• Malabsorption: It is the case in which human body is not able to adequately absorb the certain nutrients from the diet. For example: Some people are not able to accept the protein in adequate form. The face the diarrhea problem in such case.

• Too much intake of alcohol:  Alcohol intake is culprit that weakens the digestive system day-by-day. It causes the prolonged diarrhea. The diarrhea caused by excessive intake of alcohol is very difficult to cure.

• Excessive workout: Indulging in the excessive workout regime puts the adverse impacts on your digestive system. It weakens the digestive system. This happens mostly with the people who do too much exercise on daily basis.
